Our Membership

Our membership is drawn from the Public Sector, including Government, Ministries, and Parastatals.

Children of our members who are 18 years and above are eligible to join the Society.

Currently, our membership stands at over 300.

Membership Requirements

  • Staff in the public sector.
  • Child/children of our member(s) who is/are 18 years and above.

    Benefits Of Being Our Member

    1. Ukaguzi Housing’s projects are affordable to every member and all members have equal opportunity.
    2. We offer flexible payment plans to our members: (i) Cash Payment– a member pays a deposit of 30% and the balance is paid in 3 instalments within 90 days, (ii) Financing– a member pays a commitment deposit of 10% and the balance is financed by the Society in form of loan payable in 3 years at 9% p.a., (iii) Transfer of monthly savings– a member can request in writing to the Society for a transfer of all/part of his/her accumulated savings to purchase the project. NB: We can tailor make a payment plan from the three options.
    3. Ukaguzi Housing Cooperative Society has qualified staff and an able Board of Management who uphold integrity, unity of purpose and dynamism.
    4. Being a society with 99% of members drawn from Auditor-General`s Office, we are advantaged to have insider information from lands offices. This minimizes risks associated with land acquisition.

    How To Become Our Member

    1. Download, fill in, and send us the forms attached below through our email address, or deliver in-person to our office. Attach: (i) a copy of your Identity Card, (ii) a copy of your PIN Certificate, (iii) and 2 passport size photographs.
    2. A registration fee of Kshs. 2,000.
    3. Shares contribution of Kshs. 20,000. This can be built over time as will be agreed upon.
    4. Monthly contribution of any amount (minimum Kshs. 2,000) goes towards offsetting member’s future identified project undertaken.
